About Us

The Center for Internet of Ethical Things (CIET) was established with a clear mission to drive research, innovation, and development in the rapidly evolving field of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. As IoT continues to integrate into every facet of our lives—from smart homes and cities to healthcare and industry—the importance of addressing the ethical and moral implications of these technologies has become increasingly vital.Recognizing this need, CIET is dedicated to not only advancing IoT technologies but also ensuring that these advancements align with ethical standards and contribute positively to society. The Center aims to create a framework where technological progress does not come at the expense of human values and societal well-being.A key focus of CIET is to support and accelerate the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as set forth by the United Nations. By aligning IoT innovations with these global goals, CIET endeavors to ensure that technology serves as a force for good—promoting sustainability, equity, and prosperity for all.Located in the heart of Karnataka, CIET is positioned to foster a thriving innovation ecosystem within the state. The Center actively collaborates with academic institutions, industry partners, and government bodies to nurture talent, stimulate research, and develop solutions that are not only cutting-edge but also ethically sound. In essence, CIET stands as a beacon for responsible innovation in the IoT domain, championing the development of technologies that are mindful of their impact on people and the planet. Through its initiatives, the Center seeks to build a future where technology and ethics go hand in hand, paving the way for a better, more sustainable world.
